When You Are Old - William Butler Yeats
00:00 / 00:00
Audio Poem

When you are old and grey and full of sleep

and nodding by the fire, take down this book,

and slowly read, and dream of the soft look

your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

and loved your beauty with love false or true,

but one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

and loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,

murmur, a little sadly, how love fled,

and paced upon the mountains overhead,

and hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep - Mary Elizabeth Frye
00:00 / 00:00

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the dimond glints on snow,

I am the sun on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

of quiet birds in circling flight.

I am the soft starshine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there; I did not die.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

For the second semester final we were asked to work on a project of our choosing and present it at the end of the year. We were asked to answer one simple question: Why did I choose to tell this stroy?

FOREVERMORE

It's always hard to say goodbye. But it was horrifyingly difficult to let go of the one person in this world who would always make me smile. My grandpa Roy and I had a strong bond, since the moment I met him, in 1998, he was my favorite person and everyone knew it. Fast forward 17 years and he still holds that spot in my heart that no one will compare to. "I miss you" seems so understated, but these words will never truly express how happy you made me, how often you lit up my day, or how much I want you here. So I wrote a song, and I hope that someday, somehow, it will be understood how much I love you.
This one is for you.
